2008 POINTS SYSTEM

Qualifying:  Fast Time - 5, 2nd Fast - 4, 3rd Fast - 3, 4th Fast - 2 (Top 4 qualifiers only)

Heats:  A one (1) point spread per place 20 – 1^st, 19 – 2^nd, 18 – 3^rd, 17 – 4^th, 16 – 5^th, etc. (1st heat race line-ups to be determined by random draw.  2nd heat line-ups to be determined by 1st heat results).

Mains:      

A – 2 point spread per place (150-1^st, 148-2^nd, 146-3^rd, 144-4^th, 142- 5^th, 140- 6^th, etc.)

B – 2 point spread per place (130-5^th, 128-6^th, 126-7^th, 124-8^th, 122-9^th, 120-10^th)    Novice & Junior start at 134.

C - 2 point spread per place (118-5^th, 116-6^th, 114-7^th, 112-8^th, 110-9^th, 108-10^th) Novice & Junior start at 126.

D – 2 points spread per place (106-5^th, 104-6^th, 102-7^th, 100-8^th, 98-9^th, 96-10^th) Novice and Junior start at 118.

E – 2 point spread per place (94-5^th, 92-6^th, 90-7^th, 88-8^th, 86-9^th, 84-10^th) Novice & Junior start at 110.

F – 2 point spread per place (76-5^th, 74-6^th, 72-7^th, 70-8^th, 68-9^th, 66-10^th) Novice & Junior start at 102.

G – 2 point spread per place (64-5^th, 62-6^th, 60-7^th, 58-8^th, 56-9^th, 54-10^th) Novice & Junior start at 94.

Note:  You receive points for only the highest main that you run.

Moves: 

Any move from one Division to another, driver will enter new division with points earned in previous division or 1 point less than the lowest point total in new division with the same number of races run, whichever is less.  Only one move per series allowed. If a Novice driver moves up after the 4th race in the series, they will start with 0 points in the new class.  Therefore, if the Novice driver wants to race for points in the new class they must be sure and move up by the fourth race of the series.

Moving from One Class to another:  (Such as: Jr. Honda to Lt. Honda GX160 or Sr. Stock to Lt. Mod).  Any move from one Class to another, the driver will enter the new class with 0 points.  The driver is still able to qualify for year-end awards as long as they qualified. 

Novice class is NOT racing for points or championships.  Their points are kept only as a basis for moving up and qualification for year-end participation award.
